Assistive Devices for Persons with Hearing/Speech Impairments

TDD
Text telephones or TDD's (telecommunications devices for the deaf) are available if the need exists. TDD's are typewriter-like machines that permit hearing or speech-impaired persons to communicate by typing messages back and forth over telephone lines. For approval contact the Disability Services Office x3985.

Headsets
Telephone headsets can be useful for employees who spend considerable time answering or placing telephone calls. Telecom can advise departments on the correct headset and ordering procedures. If you have questions, please call Chris Culbert (x.7240).

Wireless Telephone Services
Departments interested in acquiring cellular services for business use by employees need to contact the Purchasing Office (x. 6010). We are an AT&T customer with multiple plans and periodically have a number of specials such as free phones.
