Tatiana Diaz

Tatiana Diaz is the current Director of Multicultural Programs. She accepted the position in mid-July and recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She currently is on maternity leave but we can not wait for her to return!

Tatiana brings a rich experience in advocacy work, particularly bringing voice to the needs of persons marginalized due to factors of race, ethnicity, national origin, and language--intertwined with women's issues--through her work as a Bilingual  Victim Advocate for the D.C. Coalition Against Domestic Violence and most recently as an Information Specialist and Multilingual Access Committee Chairperson for the National Sexual Violence Resource Center in Harrisburg, P.A.

Tatiana has closely integrated her professional and volunteer work in the community with her contributions to higher education, earning the Outstanding Achievement Aware from the Penn State  University's Committee on Racial/Ethnic Diversity for her involvement in student programming and student-led initiatives as an undergrad, and serving as a research assistant for the Community Psychology graduate program and teaching assistant for Women's Studies courses while completing her Masters of Arts in Community  Psychology  and Social Change at Penn State Harrisburg Campus.

Also, Tatiana has been involved in various community initiatives surrounding sexual violence, reconciliation, culture. low-income families, and women's advocacy in all the communities where she has lived including her homeland of Bogota Colombia, and currently serves on teh board of the Pennsylvania Immigrant and Refugee Women's Network (PAIRWN) and the Latina Alliance Against Sexual Violence/ Alianza Latina en contra del Asalto Sexual (ALAS)
