We've compiled several resources for the webmasters throughout Messiah's campus, all tools to help them in their quest to build the best site for their department, office, or organization.

HTML Resources     Software Help
  • Web Monkey: The Web Developers Resource: Good all round site for those wanting to learn the basics of HTML coding.
  • HTML Goodies: A great site, with plenty of help for those building their first web site. If this is your first site, make sure to read their "Non-Technical Introduction." Other tutorials are listed on the left below the "Search Box."
   
  • Contribute Support (Adobe): This is the primary web design tool on Messiah's campus, and this site provides a lot of good information on web content publishing with Contribute.
  • Dreamweaver Support (Adobe): While some of this site may not pertain to Messiah's everyday users, there is some good tips and tricks and some "Getting started" information sprinkled throughout this site.
JavaScript Resources     PhotoShop Help
  • JavaScript Source : This site is a good resource for JavaScript tutorials and free JavaScripts to add functionality to your basic HTML pages.
    
  • Photoshop Tutorials (Adobe): This is a good site with a great deal of information about using Photoshop. The site includes a database of tutorials that is searchable by topic and skill level, including tutorials on creating web page headers.
Web Design Resources      
  • World Wide Web Consortium : This group sets standards for web development including the HTML specification, Cascading Style Sheets and XML.
  • Web Style Guide : This site is a tremendous resource for making professional web sites. Follow these guidelines to make well designed web pages. The book by Patrick J. Lynch is also highly recommended.
