The process of filming "Design Squad" was grueling— and not just for the contestants.  Teams of cameramen and sound techs arrived early to every challenge site and scouted out the area, looking for the most exciting shots.  After the contestants took two days to build a workable engineering solution, they took one day to demonstrate their solution to the people for whom it was created.  Here two camera and sound crews, together with Don Pratt (in red), the artistic director, and an assistant director, consider the set up for one of these demonstrations.
