Overall camp goals and mission:
 |
The girls' lacrosse camp is designed to challenge athletes from various backgrounds and abilities in a fun and fresh way. Emphasis is placed upon fundamental skills as well as sportsmanship, attitude, and motivation techniques.

Our mission is to provide a challenging and fun basketball experience in a wholesome environment where every camper learns how to maximize his God-given potential on the basketball court and in life.
—Rick Van Pelt '91, Messiah men's head basketball coach and director of boys' basketball camp
Attending Messiah girls' basketball camp helped me to see what the program was all about. I was able to interact with the coaches and players who were already a part of the program, and see whether it was something I wanted to be a part of also.
—Katherine Kalb '09, athlete on Messiah women's basketball team and former camper
Our goal at the Falcon soccer academy is to provide a rewarding experience for our campers. We want that to include relevant instruction so that they can go back to their club and high school teams with tools they can use. We strive to create a competitive environment that is handled well — both in winning and losing. We want them to develop new ideas about how a team should operate and to learn how to be a leader on their squad. Lastly, we want our campers to enjoy the sport of soccer in a positive and encouraging environment.
—Brad McCarty '93, Messiah men's head soccer coach and director of boys' soccer camp
We desire to create a positive and safe camp experience where girls can take away an understanding of how to continue to grow as a player and leave with a renewed passion for basketball.
—Mike Miller '83, Messiah women's head basketball coach and director of girls' basketball camp
