Messiah College staff members recognized for outstanding effort
Each year the Pride in Performance Awards are given to employees who demonstrate consistently exceptional performance, dependability, innovation, and a focus on promoting a positive work environment. This year's recepients were honored at the employee recognition luncheon in May.
The President's Award is given in recognition of exceptional and particularly noteworthy accomplishment that has had a positive impact on the College and her community.

Carla Grossreceived the President’s Award for notable achievements in the success of The Compassion Forum, her leadership role alongside Kathie Shafer in planning the College’s Centennial, and her leadership in the branding initiative. These programs are all new initiatives to which Carla has dedicated creative, detailed, and visionary thinking. |

Wendy S. Starner, director of financial operations and controller
Wendy Starner received the President’s Award for her tireless evaluation and audit of one of the College’s financial handling systems. Ultimately, she implemented a new reconciliation system that lead to an improved process that reduced labor costs and simplified auditing and compliance for Dining Services. This process allowed Dining Services to identify and correct a $50,000 error. |
