On January 9, 2009, twenty-two students under the faculty leadership of associate professor of English, David Dzaka, traveled to Ghana for a three week cross cultural trip.

While spending time in the village of HoHoe, we donated toys to El Elyon Preschool. The children performed songs and poems for our visit, and we were given time to play, interact with, and introduce them to their new toys. I brought several toy animals that I had played with as a child, and was glad to see the joy my former toys brought to their beautiful faces.
