Visit the Oakes Museum for your next field trip!
The Oakes Museum is staffed by a director, an educational coordinator, and dozens of trained paid and volunteer docents made up of Messiah College students. When the museum is open on Saturdays, trained volunteer docents are on duty at all times.
The Museum will also design a customized educational program for your group including: geology; herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores; environmental creek studies; watersheds, Lewis and Clark expeditions (great tie-in with Social Studies), water pollution; Native American uses of plants and animals; and more.
