Joy Yu-Ho Wang ’98, Rhodes Scholar, finished her Ph.D. in postcolonial studies in 2005 and is now working as an assistant professor of diaspora studies—the study of displaced people groups—at the City University of New York.
Carmen McCain ’99,Fulbright Scholar, is a student in the doctoral program in the Department of African Languages and Literature at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Jamie Davies ’05,Truman Scholar, is teaching in Camden, N.J., for Teach for America, a national program aimed at eliminating educational inequality in urban and rural settings. In the future, she plans to pursue her master’s degree in public affairs in order to influence educational and child welfare policies.
