You said it!
Dear Editor,
We want to commend you for your fall article on the being at home in the city. Both my husband and I are Messiah alumni who have been living in a fast paced European city, Madrid, for almost 20 years now. Normally, people do not view cities favorably, yet they can be wonderful places to live and experience diversity in culture as well as God at work in powerful ways. So, we were glad to see the positive experiences being described in the article. In fact, while at Messiah, I was one of the first student teachers to teach in the Harrisburg innercity schools. What an incredible experience! Currently, we are working for Brethren in Christ World Missions starting churches in Spain. Just recently, we started a new program, “Come Walk on the Edge,” designed for a post-modern generation of young people that would like to learn more about urban culture and missions, especially in Europe which has become a “dark continent” spiritually speaking. It would be wonderful to connect with students from Messiah that might be interested in Urban missions.
And if Messiah is ever in Spain, please look us up!
Sincerely,
Merly (Abreu) '87and Bruce N. Bundy '87

Thank you so much. The feature turned out so well! I loved finding out what other people are doing in the city as well.
Thanks for all the work and creativity put into it.
