Residence Life
The Housing Application process for first year, transfer, and readmitted students is accomplished by completing the Housing Contract and Application located under the Campus Life section of MC Square - for students who have paid their pre-registration deposit. Assignments are prioritized by the date the admissions pre-registration deposit is received for all incoming accepted students. If you have a specific roommate request, this can be done on the questionnaire portion of the 2007-08 Housing Contract and Application.
Types of Rooms/Apartments:
Single Rooms—These rooms are constructed for one resident. There is one bed, dresser, desk, desk chair, bookshelf, and closet. The single room rate is $2050 per semester.
Double Rooms—These rooms are constructed for two residents. The beds provided may be bunked and there are two dressers, desks, desk chairs, bookshelves, and closets. The double room rate is $1920 per semester.
Designed Triple Rooms—These rooms are designed to accommodate three residents. The beds provided may be bunked two high for metal-framed beds and three high for wood-framed beds and there are three dressers, closets, desks, desk chairs, and bookshelves for the residents of the room. The triple room rate is $1540 per semester.
Supplemental Triple—Each year, based on the size of the incoming first year class, the college may deem it necessary to implement supplemental housing. These are double rooms that are re-configured to accommodate three residents. The beds provided may be bunked two high for metal-framed beds and there are three dressers, desks, and desk chairs for the residents of the room. Residents share two closets and bookshelves. All supplemental rooms retain all the furniture even if the occupancy of the room decreases. The supplemental triple room rate is $1390 per semester. Students who are assigned to a supplemental triple will be notified in their assignment letter. If a student living in a supplemental triple is not offered a permanent housing space by late October 2007, a credit of $100 will be issued to the student’s business office account.
Quads—These rooms are designed to house four residents. The rooms are furnished with four beds that may be bunked, four desks, desk chairs, dressers, bookshelves, and closets. The quad room rate is $1430 per semester.
Apartment-Style Housing—Apartment-style spaces are a housing option for students with 57 or more earned post high school credits. There are two-bedroom apartments which house five students and one-bedroom apartments which house three students. All apartments have air-conditioning, carpeting, cable TV, and internet connections. They are equipped with kitchen (with stove and refrigerator), bedroom furniture, family room furniture, and a dining room table and chairs. The one (1) bedroom apartment rate is $1975 per semester and two (2) bedroom apartment rate is $1920 per semester.

First-Year Housing
Hess— A co-educational residence hall housing 140 students. Specially reserved for first year students, it is also located within the North Complex (Miller, Hess and Grantham). It shares a computer lab, recreation room, convenience store, laundry rooms, TV lounges and an outdoor courtyard. All rooms have cable TV and Internet connections as well as carpet and air-conditioning.
Witmer — A co-educational residence hall housing 280 students. Specially reserved for first year students, it is located on the south side of campus next to Mellinger Apartments. It shares a computer lab, recreation room, laundry rooms, and TV lounges. All rooms have cable TV and Internet connections as well as carpet and air-conditioning.
Naugle — A co-educational residence hall housing 270 students. Specially reserved for first year students, it is located on the north side of campus next to Fry Apartments and across the street from Miller Residence Hall. It shares a computer lab, recreation room, laundry rooms, and TV lounges. All rooms have cable TV and Internet connections as well as carpet and air-conditioning.
Upperclass Housing
Miller— A single-sex residence hall of men housing 150 students. It is located within the North Complex (Miller, Hess and Grantham), which shares a computer lab, recreation room, convenience store, laundry rooms, TV lounges and an outdoor courtyard. All rooms have cable TV and Internet connections as well as carpet and air-conditioning.
Grantham— A single-sex residence hall of women housing 200 students. It is also in the North Complex (Miller, Hess and Grantham), and shares a computer lab, recreation room, convenience store, laundry rooms, TV lounges and an outdoor courtyard. All rooms have cable TV and Internet connections as well as carpet and air-conditioning.
Sollenberger— A single-sex residence hall of women 180 students. Located in South Complex (Bittner, Sollenberger and Mountain View). This complex contains a computer lab, recreation room, exercise room, an outside deck, laundry rooms, TV lounges and several meeting rooms. All rooms have cable TV and Internet connections as well as carpet and air-conditioning. In addition, each floor has a lounge, public kitchen and private study rooms.
Bittner— A co-educational residence hall housing 190 students with men and women on separate floors. Located in the South complex (Bittner, Sollenberger and Mountain View), it shares a computer lab, recreation room, exercise room, an outside deck, laundry rooms, TV lounges and several meeting rooms. All rooms have cable TV and Internet connections as well as carpet and air-conditioning. In addition, each floor has a lounge, public kitchen and private study rooms.
Mountain View — A co-educational residence hall housing 200 students with men and women on separate floors. Located in South Complex (Bittner, Sollenberger and Mountain View), it shares a computer lab, recreation room, exercise room, an outside deck, laundry rooms, TV lounges and several meeting rooms. All rooms have cable TV and Internet connections as well as carpet and air-conditioning. In addition, each floor has a lounge, public kitchen and private study rooms.
On-Campus Apartment-Style Housing

Apartment Buildings:
Fry (225 students) — Campus prayer chapel, lounge, and laundry room. Fry will be renovated by August 2007. Renovation includes new carpet, cabinetry and furniture.
Kelly (175 students) — Kelly has a computer lab, lounge, classroom and laundry room.
Mellinger (180 students) — Mellinger has a classroom, a sand volleyball court adjacent to building, and a laundry room.
Smith (145 students)—
Renovated in summer of 1999, laundry room
Harrisburg Housing
This housing option is designed to give students an urban living experience and is located approximately 20 minutes away from main campus. Various housing options are available. The apartments will be furnished, laundry facilities will be provided, along with a limited number of parking spaces. Students living in Harrisburg have a service commitment that they are expected to complete. Students must go through the application process and be granted approval. Applications are accepted in the Spring for the following Fall. The cost for housing is $1975 per semester.
Satellite Housing – The College owns a few satellite houses within walking distance of the campus. These host several programmatic themes. Approval is required to participate. These houses are for upper class students only. For more information, please contact the Office of Residence Life.
