There have been several changes made to Witmer, Naugle and Sollenberger halls for the 2006-07 academic year to accommodate pertinent capacity needs related to the gender of our student community.
Specifically, newly designated first year student buildings, Witmer and Naugle, have had their floor gender assignments changed throughout both buildings to better accommodate the percentage of incoming female and male students. Please note the following changes to these buildings:
Witmer A & B first and second floors will house male students.
Witmer A & B third and fourth floors will house female students.
Naugle A & B basement and first floors will house male students.
Naugle A & B second and third floors will house female students.
For the 2006-07 academic year, Sollenberger has been changed from an all women residence to a co-ed building by re-designating the third floor to accommodate a greater number of returning male students than originally anticipated. Female students who originally selected Solly 3rd as their housing assignment this past spring have been relocated to other upper class buildings to accommodate this change. The Office of Residence Life and Housing are grateful for their cooperation in making this difficult, yet necessary shift.
ID card access for the above mentioned floors has been changed to accommodate these different gender assignments. In addition, parameters for visitation will remain the same.
