General Description: Harrisburg housing, under the umbrella of the Messiah College’s Harrisburg Institute, is charged with working to provide residents with opportunities to engage the College’s mission through fostering a living-learning environment in an urban setting. Participation in this program is a privilege that carries with it great potential. Residents are given the opportunity to practice community life, engage with the city of Harrisburg, and examine their role in society in light of service within it.

Harrisburg Housing is located at 28 Dewberry St, one block away from Strawberry Square, 2 nd Street, the Capitol Complex and other downtown amenities. Harrisburg Housing has apartments which can house up to 25 socially conscious and servant minded students. This is the perfect opportunity for students who are doing research with a professor, student teaching, have an internship, or are on an outreach team. Additionally, a shuttle for students makes daily runs between Grantham and Harrisburg
