Mandy grew up in Dillsburg, PA, and graduated from Messiah College in 2007 with a degree in Humanities, with a concentration in Literature. She loved her time at Messiah--especially studying in England for a semester, getting to know the faculty and staff, serving campus as an RA, and creating life-changing friendships during her 4 years. Feeling called to work with college students, she spent a year as an admission counselor at Houghton College before beginning her master's degree. In May 2011 she completed an MA in Community Counseling at Slippery Rock University; her year-long internship in the counseling center there confirmed that God has given her a heart for helping students navigate their faith, relationships, and academics during their college years. She's excited to return to Messiah and connect with the incoming students of Witmer. Some of Mandy's favorite things include conversations over tea, crafting/knitting/crocheting, movies, visiting new places, teaching, singing loudly in her car, chocolate, walks along the Breeches, Disney, board games, getting her passport stamped, Thai food, and thunderstorms.
