Welcome to the Office of Safety Training (OST) web page @ Messiah College. OST operates as the main provider of safety based training for the campus community. OST primarily provides all of its training opportunities at our Grantham, PA campus. However, we also provide customized training opportunities off-site for local churches, organizations, and businesses. Please contact OST for additional information. OST is located within the Eisenhower Campus Center room 121.
You are welcome to preview the many training opportunities offered by OST. In 2008, OST provided training to over 3,500 individuals both on campus and off-site. And, over 500 of those participants were certified in First Aid or CPR/AED training.
It’s our pleasure to provide a variety of health & safety training opportunities by partnering with such organizations as the American Red Cross, American Heart Association and American Academy of Pediatrics. The health & safety class instructors are staff members with the Messiah College Department of Safety, who are certified as instructors by the previously mentioned organizations.
In the fall of 2009, we will also be launching our partnership with WellSpan Health (York, PA) as we become a local training site for American Heart Association courses on our campus.
