Campus Activities
Strive to provide fun and diverse programs and events that are reflective of the diverse interests and needs of the student body. Through their programs, they entertain, educate, and encourage fellowship and camaraderie among students.

HonorSocieties
Encourage and honor scholarship, service, and leadership achievement. There are two main types of honorary organizations at Messiah College, professional honoraries and leadership/service honoraries. Student organizations are considered an Honor Society if they meet at least one of the two following criteria: (1) their organization is part of a national sanctioning organization or (2) they are sponsored by an academic department at Messiah College.

Provide excellent opportunities for professional experience in the areas of broadcasting, news writing, management, editorial, and technical experience.
Acclamation Dance provides students with the opportunity to pursue their love of dance combined with a ministry purpose. Not only does Acclamation provide a creative and expressive outlet through dance, it also draws students together to form a common interest in Christ.
This club wants to educate students on mental illness by reaching out through service to the local community. Leadership skills will be developed and students will learn how to de-stress while being in college.
This organization was established in order to emphasize the African community in Messiah: one part of Messiah's ever growing diversity. We intend for it to foster unity between fellow Africans on campus (and off campus) as well as with other students on campus. For those who hold leadership positions in the organization, it becomes a chance to fine-tune their leadership skills, as well as giving them the chance to share their visions for Africa's future.
ACDA is part of a national organization which exists to foster and promote choral singing which will provide artistic and spirited experiences for the participants. ACDA is also committed to research in the field of choral music and to distributing information related to this field.
By creating and nurturing communal bonds within the Art Department, this organization supports the objectives of Messiah College while presenting art to the college in many different ways.
The Asian Christian Fellowship seeks to teach the college community, and specifically those who relate to being Asian/Asian American, the foundations of the Bible within a culturally-sensitive context.
This organization provides a venue for all interested students to learn about the realities affecting people in the black community both on campus and beyond.
Club Red's purpose is to support and adopt the American Red Cross Mission: The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
The Colleges Against Cancer Chapter at Messiah College is a collaboration of students, faculty, and staff dedicated to eliminating cancer by initiating and supporting programs of the American Cancer Society. Colleges Against Cancer organizes and implements events supporting the four strategic directions of Colleges Against Cancer: advocacy, cancer education, Relay for Life, and survivorship. The Messiah commmunity unites and raises money while generating awareness about cancer to assist the American Cancer Society in taking steps to find a cure.
The mission of this group is to provide resources and an engaging environment for whites to explore themselves, assess their identities and understand their backgrounds. They seek to uncover their own internalized racism and examine the ways they benefit and participate in systemic racism and white privilege, which re-creating an honest and positive identity.
The Biology Club/Earthkeepers tries to educate students about Christian stewardship and help foster an appreciation for God's creation while showing students how to be responsible with God's gifts.
Under the direction of the Alumni Office, Eyas plans and carries out activities designed to foster school and class spirit, including but not limited to, Homecoming, Senior Week, and class events. They work with the Office of Alumni Relations to strengthen ties to alumni and to foster student loyalty.
FCA's mission is to present the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to athletes, coaches, and all whom they influence. They meet weekly for worship, fellowship, and a brief message about integrating Christian faith as an athlete.

Grace College Fellowship
This fellowship meets weekly for a time of Bible study and promoting intelligent discussion regarding pracitcal matters of the Christian faith, with the goal of personal growth and edification.
Human Rights Awareness challenges students to understand complicated issues happening throughout the world in light of their Christian faith. HRA serves as a medium through which college-wide programming of world events can be placed such as Invisible Children and World AIDS Day.
ISA/MuKappa aids international students and missionary kids in making cultural adjustments, and provides an on-going network of encouragement, fellowship, and understanding among its members. ISA/MuKappa also works at bring world awareness to the college community and to the community outside of Messiah College.
The Invention Club provides students opportunies to express themselves through the fabrication of innovative ideas. Through various inventions the members have the opportunity to provide real world applications of knowledge gained through a Messiah College education. By participation in events such as invention contests, the club is a great medium for providing students with the understanding of technological trends of the world.
The Investment Club provides its members with the necessary tools to make informed investment choices. In the process, the members learn how to become good stewards of financial resources that are entrusted to them. In addition, the members learn to distinguish firms that are socially responsible from firms that are not.
LAL explores the richness of Latino culture, offers a community for Hispanics/Latinos and those interested in Latino culture, serves the Latin community, and furthers interest in Latino culture through education, language, dance, service, and the Christian faith.
The Math Problem-Solving Group meets weekly to solve and discuss math problems. They participate in national contests, study math-related books, and conduct alternate chapels concerning math and ministry.
The National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) provides a forum for family researchers, educators and practitioner to share in the development and dissemination of knowledge about families and family relationships, establishes professional standards and works to promote family well-being. As an affiliate of NCFR, the Messiah College Council on Family Relations (MCCFR) strives to provide opportunities for family-oriented educational, social, and service-based activities. By joining together with the common purpose of preparing ourselves to better serve families, MCCFR will foster a sense of identity and enhance professional development among students and faculty interested in family-related issues.
Dedicated to increasing political awareness on campus and in the surrounding community, the MC Republicans are committed to furthering the conservative ideals of the United States Republican Party.
This program builds a faith centered community by facilitating teamwork and relationships between teammates that are based on Christian values. Being a part of this team encourages students to become servants and leaders. Men's Club Volleyball
This club is committed to educating and equipping its members toward physical wellness and toward maturity of character and faith by the way they practice, compete, and represent Messiah College.
The Ultimate Frisbee Organization gives students a fun and unique way to meet others and gain valuable exercise while offering a chance to play in a non-competitive environment. Also, the interscholastic branch of the club would give students the opportunity to play at a competitive level.
Ice Hockey is a very passionate sport. Our goal is to be a team that represents Christ on the rink in our actions and words. Working together as a team forms fellowship and helps build community with others.
The members of the Bass Team at Messiah College practice and develop their skills of fishing while enjoying each other's fellowship. They strive to be stewards of the land God has given us by cleaning up local boat launches and serving the Pennsylvania Fish and Game Association.
The Messiah College Criminal Justice Club will provide opportunities for both Criminal Justice majors and non-majors to explore new areas of interest in the Criminal Justice field and beyond. This exploration will be facilitated through various trips, presentations, lectures and activities.
The Messiah College Engineering Honor Society strives to promote academic excellence and Christian character. They hope to promote high academics and moral character by having an honor society for engineers. Furthermore, this organization provides opportunities for deserving students when they apply for scholarship, internships, jobs, and graduate schools.
The purpose of the Messiah College Field Hockey Club team is to provide a way for students to use their talents to glorify God and build character through discipline. The members of the team also aim to bridge the gap between age groups at Messiah by providing supportive leadership that brings everyone together.
This council provides a place where student body representatives from the Multicultural Organizations gather and talk about issues related to culture and ethnicity while promoting cultural awareness on campus.
NAfME (formally Music Educators National Conference)
The MENC chapter at Messiah seeks to provide opportunities for Music Education students to explore and prepare for their field above and beyond their classes.
The NAEA is a group of art education students who want to teach and impact the lives of others as well as continue their own education. NAEA provides workshops, classes and support for development of leadership in the classroom. NAEA also encourages people to use their God-given gifts to serve the local community and college community through art.
The Newman Club is a group of Roman Catholic students, faculty, staff, and administrators, who meet regularly to encourage spiritual growth, open conversation about the Catholic faith, and serve the local community.
The Messiah College Nurses Christian Fellowship is part of a national organization. NCF seeks to deepen and strengthen the spiritual life of members by the study of the Bible, prayer, and Christian fellowship.
This association of nurses primarily focuses on promoting professional interest in the field of nursing as well as assisting in the development of the whole person in relation to this field.
The Outdoors Club is quite active as they seek a closer relationship with God by appreciating his creation and by striving to develop proficiency in outdoor recreational skills. Outdoors Club activities include rock climbing, mountain biking, caving, backpacking, canoeing, snowboarding and skiing, hiking, etc.
Thus, Outreach Teams follows the call of our faith to follow Christ and treat each person that we come across as a neighbor, as a friend, and as a brother or sister in creation. Through the investment of time, Outreach Teams facilitates the formation of relationships that we might experience life together and become all that God intends us to be.
This group aims to bring practical and applicable practices of non-violent action to students and community members on Messiah's campus, focusing on justice, reconciilaiton and the pursuit of peace.
This Social Work National Honor Society recognizes and promotes scholastic achievement in an undergraduate social work program that is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. It encourages objectivity and awareness of current developments and practices in the various field of social work and stimulates interest in preparing for a career in social work.
This team is dedicated to worshipping God, specifically through weekly services on Thursday nights. Additionally, the team offers musical and spiritual leadership growth through activities both inside and outside the college.
This club educates students about the physical therapy field by providing them with networks to certified therapists/PT schools and helping to prepare them for their futures in service and leadership as physical therapists.
This club, which meets twice a month, aims to foster high ethical ideals and principles in students who plan to pursue the public relations profession as well as enhance students' knowledge of public relations.
The sanctity of life and the dignity of life is an essential part of Christian identity. Members of the Right To Life Club will work to save lifes threatened by induced abortion, euthanasia and the destruction of embryos for research. Students will educate others on life issues, promote respect for life and help those in need to see that life is a promising choice.
This club will be in deep interaction with the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg and Rotary International. Students will dedicate themselves to service by participating in projects locally that will challenge and build leadership skills. The Rotaract Club will provide an opportunity to make an impact here at Messiah and beyond.
Sigma Zeta hopes to further the glory of God through the pursuit of scientific excellence. Sigma Zeta, or the Beta Lambda chapter, is part of a national science and mathematics honor society. An overall GPA of 2.75 and a 3.0 within the science or mathematics field are both required to apply for membership. In addition, the applicant must have completed 25 credits of course work.
The Ski and Ride Club encourages life-long learning and physical activity by offering opportunities for discount tickets to Ski Roundtop as well as trips to Vermont and Scranton, PA.
The purpose of the Sport Management Society is to provide access to resources, job/internship postings, and information in the field of Sport Management to students in order to increase their marketability when they graduate from Messiah College.
SAB plans several events weekly with the goal of promoting exciting activities for students to become involved in, while at the same time fostering a sense of community through social events. Dances, a movie series, concerts and coffeehouses are only some of the many events that SAB plans yearly.
This team provides opportunities for students to learn and practice leadership skills through participation in teams, small group leadership, or serving as a student chaplain.
SIFE offers Messiah students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practice and teaching the principles of free enterprise in a number of countries, thereby improving the standard of living for others in the process.
SNAC aims to increase nutritional awareness and promote wellness in the Messiah College community through hosting enjoyable and educational experiences. Activities include food demonstrations in residence halls and annual service trips into Harrisburg. SNAC seeks to foster community among students who are interested in learning how to be good stewards with God's gracious gift of food.
