Issachar's Loft serves as a discipleship program that provides a weekly fellowship gathering and leadership development opportunities. It is also a resource for experiential learning opportunities for students and staff. The Loft aims to create a safe environment conducive to discussing current events and how as Christians we should respond.
Who's Zoomin' Who
This weekly fellowship is hosted in the Great Room
of Issachar's Loft. It focuses on developing the Heart of Leaders. It seeks to help students to respond to a variety of contemporary issues from a Christian perspective.
Loft Facilitators
A small group of students are selected each year to serve as Issachar's Loft Facilitators. These students participate in an intensive leadership development program that focuses on both the hard and soft skills of
facilitating adventure-based experiences. Facilitators design and implement programming that assists existing groups in accomplishing their goals.
Events include, caving, rock climbing and paddling,
low ropes, and spring and fall break trips as well as group team
building. Staff and student leaders focus on proper technical and
group facilitation skills. Understanding the significance of group
process, God's creation, and the challenge at hand are all integral
elements of the program. These experiences also provide an opportunity
to take students out of their comfort zone and to more holistically
pursue the issues of leadership, identity, and spirituality.
Recreation and exercise are vital parts of the collegiate experience. Recreational sports provide excellent opportunities for interaction with friends and staying in shape. We offer diverse opportunities in competitive and recreational activities, including several intramural programs.
