Department of Music Audition Sign-Ups

High Center Lobby

Open to the entire student community; all majors welcome. Audition locations as well as exact times and other necessary details will be listed on the sign-up sheets. A short, prepared piece is encouraged but music will be provided during the audition if necessary.


Auditioned Ensembles:  

Choral: Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Men’s Ensemble,  Women’s Ensemble, One College Ave (Jazz Singers), United Voices of Praise (gospel choir)                  


Instrumental: Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Brass Choir, Jazz Ensembles

Chamber Ensembles: Quintets, Wind Quintets, String Quartets

Open Ensembles (audition for placement only): Symphonic Winds (concert band) 


Permission of Instructor Required: 

Studio Ensembles (by audition or permission of instructor): Clarinet Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Flute Choir, Saxophone Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Trombone Choir, Handbell Choir, Trumpet Ensemble, Horn Choir, Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble

GiViM (God's Instruments Visualized in Motion) is open to all students, but a dance audition is required in order to perform in any of the dance opportunities such as the Humanitarian Symposium and the Spring Dance Concert.

9 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.   Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling
Boyer 137, Parmer Cinema

All students who were awarded their first Stafford Loan as part of their financial aid package are required to attend a short loan entrance counseling session.  If you have not completed this yet, this is your last group opportunity to do so.  You may still complete the counseling online using the instructions sent to you earlier in the summer, or come to the Financial Aid Office individually.
