- To create a construction manual for the electric retrofit, so that it can be constructed in Burkina Faso
- To reduce the overall costs of the tricycles, making them more affordable for impoverished people
- Design and build manufacturing fixtures to simplify the tricycle construction process
- Redesign the tricycle drive mechanism to decrease cost and complexity
The tricycle team has many plans for the upcoming January trip
to Burkina Faso. They have been working on creating and implementing
new parts for the tricycles for people with disabilities.
Their hope is to help mobilize people so that they can once again
become an active part of the community. The team is currently
trying to redesign the frame of the tricycle in order to reduce the
costs and increase its reliability. They are also working in conjunction
with the energy team to create headlights for these tricycles.
Their biggest concern is getting the construction manual
and the new parts completed by the trip in January.
