Who are we?
Welcome to the Flying Club! We're a fun loving group of students at Messiah College united by the desire to fly. We range in year from freshman to senior and are a mix of both male and female. Although we are a spinoff of the engineering department and are advised by one of the professors, Dr. Pratt, an engineering major is not required.
Our Pupose:
The Flying Club's purpose is not just to fly, but to help others who fly also. We sponsor activities that will raise awareness of missionary aviation and seek to support missionary pilots. We maintain contact with missionary pilots in the field both to learn more about what they do and be an encouragement to them in their work. We also hope to begin our own flight school and pattern it after existing missionary aviation programs, so as to facilitate the transition of students from our program to a traditional missionary pilot training school.
