Mission Statement
“To aid international students and Mk's in making cultural adjustments; by providing an ongoing network of encouragement, fellowship, and understanding by sharing of diversity among its members while connecting cultures to bring world awareness to the Messiah College community”How are you working towards achieving this mission?
We work towards this mission initially by helping international as well as missionary kids settle down and get to know the Messiah community. We do this through almost a week long orientation where we try to prepare them for the things they are going to face. Also, during the early part of the academic year we all go on a retreat over a weekend where we mediate on God's word, fellowship with one another and get to know each other better. Through out the year, we have small trips to places such as New York, Philadelphia etc where students can get to see other place in the U.S. On a weekly basis, we have bible studies at the Rafiki House. The Rafiki house is the international house and for many of the students it is like a home away from home.
