Team Update 2: January 13, 2006
A quick update from the Burkina team: we have been in Mahadaga for 9 days and have only 4 more before we head back to the capital. All of our projects are going well, and the team is surprisingly healthy and strong. No one has been sick enough to miss a day of work, and we have had only one sighting each of a snake and a scorpion; with no ill effects. We are in good spirits and enjoying our work as a team.
We are seeing a lot, processing so many experiences and thoughts as we study the Scriptures in light of this context and the many needs here. We are busy, hence this short message, and we continue to appreciate your prayers as we begin to finish up our work.

Team Update 1: January 4, 2006
We made it! And all is well. After three flights and 28 hours travel, we arrived safely in Ouagadougou at 9 pm Monday, local time. All of our luggage made it without any problems (minus one apparently threatening flashlight).

Other than fatigue, the team is healthy and our trip went smoothly. We are staying at the Wycliffe Compound in Ouaga until Wednesday, when we travel by van to Mahadaga. We have our own van this time, not a public bus, which makes transporting things easier, although it will be crowded.

Continue to keep our team in your prayers, as we meet the people and begin our work. And as the mosquitoes begin biting and we eat and drink locally, pray that our health remains strong. We so much appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
