The following events were scheduled for April 2003. As of May 2004, when the webmistress last updated this page, there were no events scheduled for September. It was in her best interests to leave the events that have already taken place in the table as placeholders. Wednesday April 2 11:30am-1:30pm ECC Commons Yellow Ribbon Campaign: handing out yellow ribbons to anyone who wants one. These ribbons symbolize our hopes for a quick and safe return for our troops fighting in the Iraqi theater. FREE!
Thursday April 3 7-9pm MV 141 Reconciliation meeting with MCRC and Students for Social Action. This meeting is meant to have students from varying political and social backgrounds come together to discuss their reactions to various student demonstrations on campus pertaining to the war in Iraq.
Monday April 7 6:30pm-8:00pm F250 College Republicans meeting. We will have elections as well as a discussion about recent interactions with the SSA including a discussion of the reconciliation meeting and how to proceed in future relations with SSA.
Monday April 14 6:30pm-8:00pm TBD Since Easter is the next weekend and break runs through Monday the 21st, we will be holding two meetings in a row. Topic TBD. Possible Debate.
Monday April 28 6:30pm-8:00pm TBD Final regular meeting of the 2002-2003 academic year. New leadership is in control of this meeting with funding still running through the old leadership due to accounts. The new leadership will be responsible for the planning of this meeting, but it will include a discussion about the candidate forum to be held on the 30th.
Wednesday April 30 7:00pm-9:00pm K120 Candidate forum/debate for the Republican Primary candidates for Cumberland County Commissioner. This will gain a lot of local media coverage and open our group's name up to the community. Dave Lanzer, the 2002-2003 MCRC Chairman, has been selected as the moderator by the Cumberland County Republican Party representative coordinating this event.
