Messiah College dances are a difficult event to put on. Our culture has transformed dancing into an extremly sexual form of entertainment. We need to be careful about the kind of environment we produce on a Messiah College dance floor. Everything from music, to dress, to themes and decorations all play a role in the kind of dance we put on. We believe that dancing is not, by its original intent, sexual or sinful. Therefore, our goal is to provide Messiah students with a venue to enjoy God's gift of rhythm and movement and not be bombarded by explicit content and derogatory environments.
