Lost Films
Lost Films is the on-campus film society sponsored by Messiah College’s Student Activities Board. All films are shown in Parmer Cinema, located in Boyer Hall, which seats 125 and features state of the art acoustics and projection. Moneyball

The funk will not disappoint.

Part 1 of Breaking Dawn deals with Bella’s dangerous and controversial pregnancy and the repercussions it will have in the current state of Wolf and Vampire relations. Fans will not be disappointed.

Director Martin Scorcese takes you on an exciting, imaginative journey that pays homage to early filmmaking and envelops you in a childlike wonder that every age will love.
Hugo is rated PG for mild thematic material, some action/peril and smoking.

Alongside a gypsy named Sim (Noomi Rapace), and Holmes’ brother, Mycroft Holmes (Stephen Fry), the team must stop Moriarty’s plan of control and destruction that could alter the history of war. This movie’s special effects sequences will not disappoint and exude that same eccentric style that we all grew to love from Guy Ritchie’s first film.

Melancholia explores the depths of depression through the eyes of Justine and Claire, two sisters anticipating an apocalyptic event. The blue planet, Melancholia, has been hiding behind the sun and appears to be on a collision course with Earth. The film is told in two parts. Part one is at a party honoring newlyweds John (Alexander Skarsgård) and Justine (Kirsten Dunst) and focuses on Justine’s challenges with depression. Part two is told through Claire, the other sister’s, (Charlotte Gainsbourg) point of view. Their reactions to the impending possible planetary collision provide a glimpse into the gloomy and dreadful reality a melancholic lives though. Melancholia features an extremely talented cast and Kirsten Dunst’s award-winning performance should not be missed.
Melancholia is rated R for scenes of non-sexual nudity, sexual content and language.

Along the way, he meets Peppy Miller (Bérénice Bejo), a young and beautiful woman that is inspired by George’s talent and fame and decides to venture out into the industry herself. Their destinies are intertwined as George’s career takes an unexpected turn. The Artist has been nominated for several Academy Awards this year. You will not want to miss this film.
The Artist is rated PG-13 for a disturbing image and a crude gesture.

A mysterious key that his father left behind incites a search for the matching lock, a search that will impact many people along the way. Coping with loss, Oskar’s mother (Sandra Bullock) must try to console and support her son as he tries to find closure in the loss of his father. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close has been nominated for this year’s Best Picture Academy Award. The performances and emotional story will grip you and even make you shed a tear.
