History of Messiah Ultimate
The Ultimate Frisbee Organization (UFO) was founded in 2004 by Chris Schulze. The UFO is a club open to all lovers of frisbee experienced and non. In 2004 the UFO only attended the Dickenson 'Jive Fest' where after being seeded last for the first day, came back to get first overall in the tournament. Since then the Messiah Ultimate club team 'Fire and Brimstone' has grown rapidly. In the fall 2005, armed with a new batch of enthusiastic and talented freshmen, the club team tackled four more tournaments gaining experience and confidence. Spring 2005 included 3 more tournaments and cuLminated at the West Penn Sectionals where they placed 6th out of 16 and proved that they were becoming a force to be reconned with. The once completely coed team has grown into complete competitive and nationally ranked mens and womens teams. What makes Messiah Ultimate special is the shear drive and love of the game expressed by every one of its players. All of the teams responsibilities rest completely on the players. This abnormally talented group is coached soley by its fearless leader and captain, Chris Schulze. All substitutions are up to each player's discretion, which demonstrates the unity and teamwork that is the heart and sole of the team. All of the players look forward anxiously to next fall, planning to practice all summer and return with a vengence to further their remarkably rapid growth as a team. Look out for the Messiah 'Fire and Brimstone', cause they're just getting started.
