Organismal Biology at Messiah College
The organismal concentration of the biology major emphasizes the study of animals, plants, fungi, genetics and biotechnology. Students study the diversity, structure, function and behavior of living organisms. Courses such as aquatic zoology, herpetology, plant taxonomy, mycology and ornithology offer students a wide spectrum of organisms for in-depth study. Laboratory and field experiences also provide hands-on experience working with organisms in various settings.
