Scene from Downtown PhillyThe City of Philadelphia

Philadelphia, one of our country's oldest cities, offers a rich historical heritage, cultural and ethnic diversity, a variety of social and outreach opportunities, and many helpful connections for future employment and graduate work.

Students have a chance to construct their own learning experience in a city that offers experiential oppurtunities to illustrate social injustice. The city is the text and context for developing students' sensitivities to urban issues. As students encounter various urban problems and issues in the city, they may discuss their ideas with fellow students and probe for ways to appropriately respond to those issues.

"Every day that passes I feel challenged inspired, and motivated to learn more about life and more about the world in which I live. The Philadelphia Campus offers me this rich fulfilling experience where I am required to reevaluate myself, melding my culture, beliefs, academics, and experiences."
