Kate Nicely
Recruitment Coordinator
Kate Nicely graduated from Messiah College in 2000 and considers her Spring 1999 semester at the Philadelphia Campus the most significant part of her college experience. As a Journalism minor, Kate was required to study at MCPC. At first she felt apprehensive about living in the city, but she quickly fell in love with Philadelphia after a few weeks at MCPC.
Upon graduation, Kate worked as a reporter for The Bridgeton News in Bridgeton, NJ. She married Adam, also an MCPC alum, and moved to Philadelphia in 2002. Her writing skills and enjoyment for working with young people led her to the nonprofit organization Caring People Alliance, where she worked as Outreach Coordinator and Assistant Site Director. When the MCPC Recruitment Coordinator position opened in 2004, Kate knew she would enjoy telling students her story and convincing them to experience MCPC.
Kate and Adam bought a home in South Philadelphia in 2003. They enjoy walking along Passyunk Ave., trying new restaurants and meeting their neighbors. Kate is a cell group leader at Circle of Hope and loves that she can walk to church on Sunday evenings. |
