Visiting Students
As a student from an institution other than Messiah College, you have a particularly unique opportunity at MCPC. All undergraduate students are welcome to participate in our program. You will need to work closely with your home institution to be sure your attendance at MCPC goes smoothly.
Christian College Consortium students - As part of the agreement between CCC schools, students can study at any of the member institutions, including MCPC, without additional applications. This puts the educational resources of 12 other colleges at students' disposal. Consortium catalogs, containing course descriptions, fees, and college information, are available at Messiah College's Epicenter or at your home institution. To participate in MCPC, complete our online application and indicate your status as a "Christian College Consortium" student.
Visiting students from other colleges and universities begin their MCPC adventure by completing our online application. Indicate your status as a "Visiting Student" in the application. You will be asked to provide a copy of your transcript and two reference letters once the application is received.
What do I do after I apply?
Meet with your advisor to discuss MCPC and determine how it will work for you. The MCPC Recruitment Coordinator will contact you to discuss details about the program, your particular semester of study and your specific questions.
What will it cost?
Visiting students will pay Messiah College full-time student tuition for their semester at MCPC. Students will choose a meal plan and pay housing at the same rate as Temple Associates.
Is Financial Aid available?
Federal aid will continue to be available. Messiah College does not provide aid to visiting students. Students should talk with their home institution to request continuing aid.
How do I register for classes?
The MCPC Registration Assistant will register you for Temple University courses and Messiah College courses. Specific instructions will be provided to you via email.
Prepare for registration by viewing available MCPC courses and Temple courses.
Visiting students are required to take at least two MCPC courses and are eligible to take up to nine credits at Temple.
Visiting students are also welcome to participate in MCPC Internship opportunities.
How do my courses transfer back to my home institution?
You must work out transfer equivalencies with your home institution, based on the courses you ultimately select. Your transcript (including MCPC and Temple courses) will be available from the Messiah College Registrar's Office approximately two weeks after the end of the semester.
How will I be involved with the MCPC community?
Visiting students agree to the same guidelines as Messiah students:
