B-Line Trips

The B-Line is a weekend excursion to MCPC. It is a great way to determine if studying at the Philadelphia Campus is right for you. This opportunity is intended for, but not limited to, students who are considering spending a semester at the Philadelphia Campus. Students will participate in a campus tour upon arrival.

B-Line dates 2009-10:

  • October 2-4
  • November 13-15
  • February 12-21
  • April 16-18

How do I sign up?

Buy a $5 ticket for the B-Line at the Ticket Office in Grantham. Hand your ticket to the B-Line driver at departure time on Friday. Tickets are non-refundable.

What does the $5 pay for?
It covers the cost of transportation in a Messiah van, two tokens for Philadelphia's public transportation (SEPTA), and two meals passes for Temple's cafeteria.

Where do I stay?
You should make your own arrangements for housing with current MCPC students. If you need assistance finding a place to stay, contact Kate Nicely. Students are not permitted to sleep in lounges or public spaces on-campus.

What time does the van leave?
The van picks students up at Eisenhower Circle on Friday at 6 p.m. The van leaves Philadelphia at 2 p.m. Sunday.

What do I do while I'm there?
You determine your experience. Search for weekend happenings in Philadelphia and ask your friends at MCPC to make suggestions. The museums and markets are a great way to explore the city.

What do I pack?
Students will need to bring their own toiletries and items for sleeping, unless otherwise arranged with their MCPC student hosts. Comfortable shoes are always a good idea for exploring the city.

Can I drive the van?
Yes! We need approved student drivers to drive the van. Drivers do not pay for the trip and receive the same benefits. Contact Kate Nicely if you are interested.
