Messiah RSS Feeds
We've just made it even easier for you to keep track of what is going on at Messiah College.
What is RSS?
RSS stands for "really simple syndication"
How to subscribe to an RSS feed
RSS content is able to be read using software called an "RSS reader," "feed reader," or an "aggregator." The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.
Below are some basic instructions about how to subscribe to an RSS feed through a browser. For your convenience, we have also created links for you to add our RSS feeds to your MyYahoo!, iGoogle or Google Reader and have provided links to other RSS reader programs for both Windows and Macintosh platforms.
(Please note that readers are NOT programs supported or endorsed by the College. They are programs written by third-party software vendors and any problems you may encounter while running them need to be addressed by the vendor).
To subscribe Messiah College RSS feeds through your Internet browser:1. Click on the Messiah RSS feed(s) to which you would like to subscribe from the listing at the top of this page.
To view the RSS feeds to which you have subscribed
To see any new content that may have been posted to the feeds you have subscribed to, you will need to click on / check the RSS feed or "favorites" icon / buttons in your browser's menu bar.
These icons may vary by browser. For example, Internet Explorer 7 uses a yellow star and Mozilla Firefox 2 uses the standard orange and white RSS icon.
Please note that if you use multiple browsers / don't always use the same browser, only the RSS feeds you have subscribed to IN A PARTICULAR BROWSER will be accessible in that browser. |
