Mission of the Sider Institute
The Sider Institute has a two-pronged mission. First, it encourages scholarly research and interpretive activities that promote understanding of the three primary theological streams—Anabaptism, Pietism, and Wesleyanism—that have shaped the Brethren in Christ Church, the denomination that founded Messiah College. Second, it explores and articulates contemporary expressions of those theological traditions in various denominations, giving priority to projects promoting Brethren in Christ studies. |
