Several education abroad program exist for students with special interest in creation care and sustainability. In addition to Creation Care programs in places like New Zealand and Belize, students can also study through the GoED Mekong and Africa programs. Additionally, Messiah has a Collaboratory. A what, you ask? The Collaboratory for Strategic Partnerships and Applied Research is an interdisciplinary, on-campus organization that combines students’ skills and passions to provide sustainable solutions that care for the earth and serve disadvantaged peoples. Recent projects include construction of solar facilities to generate electricity for a maternity clinic in Burkina Faso and installation of water filtration systems in Guatemala.
