Grantham Community Garden
"The best place to find God is in the garden. You can dig for him there." - George Bernard Shaw
The Grantham Community Garden is a student-inspired, student-led effort to demonstrate and promote real-life concepts of sustainable agriculture. We use this garden initiative as a means to educate students, faculty, and the broader community about the benefits of eating organic food and tapping into local farm economies for food resources.
By engaging students with volunteer opportunities, utilizing the knowledge of regional farmers and building relationships with our CSA shareholders, we foster greater interaction between the Messiah College community and the general public in new and unique ways.
