SOAN 221: Native American Cultures
I am an ethnohistorian focused on intercultural diplomacy in the 18th-century Atlantic World. My dissertation project, which is still ongoing, is a microhistory of 1765 peace negotiations that sought to end conflicts between Indigenous people and the British Empire in the trans-Appalachian West. I formerly served as the Project Manager of the Digital Harrisburg public humanities project here at Messiah and currently teach history and anthropology full-time at the Stone Independent School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. When not teaching or researching, I am likely to be found with my wife chasing our two kids, experiencing unreasonable amounts of stress related to a St. Louis sports team, or cultivating my ever-expanding collection of Marvel comics and vinyl records.
