Interest and areas of expertise

Dr. Julie Gomboc-Hellam is the director of the graduate curriculum and student services for the School of Graduate and Professional Studies. Serving in this role, she supports program development and implementation, assists with the assessment of graduate-student learning projects and has oversight for graduate-level student services. She ensures that graduate-level programs are in compliance with Middle States Accreditation, the Pennsylvania Department of Education, program-specific accreditation organizations and state authorization regulations. Additionally, she serves on Messiah College's Community of Educators Senate and recently served on COE Steering. Julie's previous experience includes teaching at the higher education level, curriculum design, program development, accreditation, online education, teaching methodologies, student recruitment, and academic advising.

Julie is an elected school board member to the Middletown Area School District through December of 2019. In this role she serves as a liaison for the Pennsylvania School Boards Association and on the board’s committee for Harrisburg Area Community College.
