Shelly has practiced primarily in an outpatient hand and upper extremity clinics in both hospital & physician-owned orthopedic settings. She has a close relationship with onsite physicians & health care professionals, focusing on Interprofessional care for clients. She maintains clinical practice in addition to teaching in both online occupational therapy education & working with MOT students at Messiah College. She enjoys keeping the focus of therapy on occupation, involving clients in their rehabilitation program as much as possible to maximize outcomes & resume an adapted or modified lifestyle after injury, surgery or illness.
