Dr. Tanisha Sapp, EdD, LPC, CST, NCC, ACS, CPCS, MAC, DOT-SAP obtained her Master's degree in Community Counseling, Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University. Dr. Sapp is the Director and Founder of A New Level Empowerment and Consultation, LLC, her private group practice, where she specializes in trauma and sex therapy with adolescents, adults, and couples experiencing problems with intimacy. Dr. Sapp has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, community service boards, CORE agencies, and the State of Georgia. Dr. Sapp has many research interests to include trauma, vicarious trauma, counselor self-care, counselor development, counselor supervision, and sexual trauma. She has presented her research at many professional conferences on trauma and counselor identity development.
