Arwa lives locally with her three children Isaac, Maya, and Ira. She has a long-standing relationship with a man who supports her goals, values, and passions. They all share the love of Christ in which they continue their growing faith in God. She is grateful for her parents, because without them, she wouldn’t be able to continue her journey.
Arwa has been a dedicated school counselor at Northern Middle School for 12 years, going on her 13th. Her passion for the profession has led her to pursue a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Capella University. She wants to share her passion with those entering the field, and wants to prepare school counselors-in-training for the ever-changing needs in education.
She taught Career Development at Lancaster Bible College in Spring 2020, and is blessed to be a part of the Messiah team as an adjunct professor. Arwa has presented a workshop on “Children of Addicts,” and co-presented “Your Personality: Uplift or Derail Your Students.” She is the advisor for Club Aevidum at Northern Middle School, has been a site supervisor for Master’s school counselors-in-training, and Department Chair for the Northern York Co. SD counseling department from 2011-2014.
She looks forward to growing with the learners in her courses and build relationships of trust and support with them.
