Expertise stems from experience in the primary classroom as a full-inclusion teacher, as well as the special education push-in/pull-out resource teacher who utilized co-teaching.

Upon graduation from Messiah College at the beginning of the millennium, my husband and I moved to Arizona to help plant a church that intentionally sought to be the hands and feet of Christ. My husband’s vocation as a pastor is very much a part of our lives as a family and I have always deeply felt that teaching is also a ministry. While in the southwest, I developed a deep passion for students that were hurting and needed someone to advocate for learning in a style that met their needs. Interactions with students and faculty led me directly to pursuing a graduate degree in Early Childhood Special Education.

God has taken me on a path in higher education that I never anticipated through a series of doors that opened without me seemingly even looking for a threshold to cross. When I am not teaching, you can find me with my family and most likely outside. I enjoy running, photography, music and reading historical fiction.
