Lois Beck

Lois Beck retired in 2014 after forty-six years of service to Messiah University. During her tenure Lois taught all levels of French, as well as Fundamentals of Communication, Mass Media and Society, and Africa through Literature. She also led a cross-cultural course to Guadeloupe and Martinique numerous times, and she taught at Daystar University in Kenya for one year. She was a member of AATF and published several articles in French Review and other scholarly journals. She welcomed many international students from Africa and Asia to her home, and she hosted French students every year.
