Raymond Mandell

Raymond A. Mandell retired after a thirty-seven year career teaching in the public school system. He started his career teaching high school band and choir for three years in the Philipsburg-Osceola Area School District. Mr. Mandell then moved to the Clearfield Area School District, where he completed thirty-four years directing junior-high and senior-high concert band, orchestra, the high school jazz band, and the Clearfield Bison Marching Band. Under his direction, the marching band performed and competed in some of the country’s top parades, earning several first place trophies. He also taught classes in music theory and music history as well as high school and middle school instrumental lessons.

Mr. Mandell has served as choir director for many years in the Orthodox Christian church, and is a composer and arranger of Orthodox Christian choral music.

Mr. Mandell received his Bachelors of Music in Music Education from Grove City College and his Masters of Music in Wind Band Conducting from Messiah University.
