Profile

Timothy Shea is an avid learner who is curious about the ways we tell stories in all kinds of contexts, genres, and forms. He has worked with embodied storytelling with genocide survivors in Rwanda, led writing circles with marginalized populations in the US, and has taught at international schools on five continents! He loves discovering how stories shape us across cultural landscapes. His doctoral research focused on the role film literacy can play in writing development among gifted adolescents. He, his wife and three teen children love to explore the world together visiting castles, stately homes, museums, cities, national parks, and riding as many roller coasters as they can! He also loves good coffee and good conversation, no matter where he may be in the world.
