Profile

Dr. Hare taught calculus and other university mathematics for more than 20 years before shifting to a full-time administrative role at Messiah University in 2016. She continues to teach courses in the mathematics curriculum on occasion such as calculus, differential equations and graph theory. She had the privilege of leading the Collaboratory education team from 2007 to 2015 and worked with mathematics students to write curricular materials and provide teacher training for educators of children who are blind and who have other physical and learning disabilities in the country of Burkina Faso, and for children preparing for national mathematics examinations to enter middle school in that country. In addition, she spent two years as an investigator for an externally funded Collaboratory partnership with World Vision aimed to empower persons with disabilities to access water and sanitation in targeted regions of West Africa. She loves organizing, simplifying the complex, and problem-solving. Outside of the office, she enjoys studying the French language, exploring France and biking, skiing, and kayaking locally.
