Elaine Henderson, Senior Lecturer in Music at Messiah College, holds Bachelors degrees in Music Education and Voice Performance from Mars Hill College, Mars Hill, North Carolina and a Master of Music degree in Voice Pedagogy from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. She has performed extensively in the Harrisburg area in recital, as soloist with local choral and orchestral organizations, and in lead roles with the Harrisburg Opera Association. Ms. Henderson has worked with Theatre Harrisburg both as on stage performer and as vocal coach. She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and has served as governor of the Pennsylvania State District for five years.
