Centennial Celebrations: A Legacy of Leadership

Honoring the Presidents of Messiah College’s First Century

Dedication and Naming Service

October 16, 2009, 11:30 a.m.

The Messiah College Board of Trustees will dedicate a new park on campus that will honor the service of presidents from Messiah College’s first 100 years. Designed to create additional outdoor commons space for the campus community, this new plaza, named Legacy Park (located between Jordan Science Center and Eisenhower Campus Center), will include benches, a seating wall, and the planting of a new grove of trees — one to honor the unique legacy of leadership of each of Messiah’s presidents. This living tribute will grow as Messiah College enters its own second century. (See artist’s rendering below.)

This event is open to the public; no ticket required.
