Sean Strehlow, Ph.D

Sean Strehlow is the Assistant Professor of Sport Management at Messiah University. His professional background includes teaching and coaching in secondary education as well as intercollegiate athletics administration in both the SEC and Big XII conferences. A former Division III tennis athlete, Sean cares deeply about the student-athlete experience in college. He currently serves as the Faculty Athletics Representative at Messiah and as a volunteer coach with the Messiah tennis program.

Sean’s research interests include faith, moral formation, and sociology in sports contexts, specifically college athletics. Sean is also passionate about faith and its implications for practice and pedagogy in higher education.
