Daniel C. Holtrop of the U.S. State Department will speak about “The State of Religious Freedom in the World Today” on Monday, November 18 at 4:00 p.m. in Parmer Cinema [Boyer 137]. Holtrop has been with the State Department for many years, first serving as Chief in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs within the Office of International Religious Freedom. Currently, he serves as Deputy Director in the Office of Verification, Planning, and Outreach within the Bureau of Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance. This event is sponsored by the College Honors Program and is open to the entire college community. Students interested in exploring vocations relating to international relations or human rights are especially encouraged to attend.
