APPLY TO MESSIAH

Welcome Messiah University History Department

Welcome to the Messiah University History Department. We are a vibrant community of teachers and scholars who are passionate about the study of the past. In the tradition of the Christian liberal arts, the history program provides a wide range of course offerings and experiences. We emphasize the cultivation of a breadth of historical learning along with specific skills: critical thinking, high-quality writing, methods of research, and public and digital projects. The department also offers many enrichment opportunities for our majors such as working with professors on research, internships with museums and governmental agencies, study abroad around the world, teaching in local schools, public history, and archaeological training.

Follow the links of our website to read about some of our current activities and projects, or explore a more detailed overview of our curriculum, programs, and opportunities in the menu options to the left. If you have any questions about our program feel free to contact me. Thanks for stopping by.
